The JuBELLant Handbells is a nonprofit youth musical organization dedicated to enriching the community through handbell performance, education, and outreach. Our mission is to provide high-quality handbell music while fostering musical growth, collaboration, and appreciation of the unique art of handbell ringing.
Established in May 2026, JuBELLant Handbells was created by Jason & Anne Kleve by purchasing five octaves of Schulmerich handbells from Brentwood United Methodist Church in Denver, CO.
Originally from California, Anne Kleve attended the University of Colorado as a music major. She has been teaching private clarinet and saxophone lessons since 2007. Anne’s interest in handbells began in high school. She began directing handbells in March 2003 at Risen Savior Lutheran Church in Broomfield, CO, where she built that program up to four choirs. In August 2016, Anne moved to Summit of Peace Lutheran Church in Thornton. She now leads four choirs there, including: IncrediBELLS (2nd-6th Grade), Ascent Bells (7th-12th), and Bells of Peace (Adults) along with the vocal choir, the Summit Singers. Anne also has taught music and helped the band teachers in 27J since 2022 at Quist Middle School, Riverdale Ridge High School and Prairie View High School!
Anne volunteers in Sigma Alpha Iota, an International Music Fraternity for women as Philanthropies Grants Coordinator. She plays clarinet and saxophone in the Thornton Community Band and serves on the board. Anne has served on the Area 11 Handbell Musicians of America board since September 2016. She is the current Events and Camp Director.
Anne and her husband, Jason, have two wonderful grown children: Gwen and Nathan. She also manages their vacation rental properties in Estes Park and Steamboat Springs.
